Eastside Friends of Seniors

The mission of Eastside Friends of Seniors is to provide volunteer-based services to older adults facing the challenges of aging. Our vision is independent, dignified and engaged older adults. Our goal is to provide the services older adults need to continue to live independently with dignity and building community through relationships.

We mobilize volunteers to help older adults retain their independence. Transportation to Healthcare Appointments: a door-through-the-door service from a senior's home into a health care provider’s office, and back. Shopping and Errands: not just a ride, but help in the store, and putting groceries away at home, if needed. Home and Yard Chores: light, occasional housekeeping, handyman chores, and yard work. Information and Referrals: connecting seniors to resources in the community who can help when we cannot. Friendly Visiting and Telephone Buddies: nobody should be lonely!
