Spring Walk into Nature at Evans Creek Preserve
Spring is here! Master Native Plant Stewards Gary Reum and Linda Shepherd will lead a walk at Evans Creek Preserve to view the ½-acre restoration project and pollinator garden they started in 2019 with a cohort of dedicated stewards. This will be followed by a walk to the lupine meadow, which is about a mile from the parking lot with only 90-ft elevation gain.
Along the way, you can witness Nature’s beauty, wonders, and complexity — and learn a bit about:
The history of the area
Sammamish Stewards and community involvement
Identification and benefits of native plants and trees
Ethnobotany, insects, pollination, wildlife habitats, and land restoration
Making observations about ecological integration and connections
Exploring and respecting our natural world
Join us for an Inaugural Spring Walk into Nature. See it all happening before your eyes!
