Community Van is a rideshare program matches riders with volunteer drivers to take people to destinations throughout the region for the cost of a standard Metro fare. Trips can be one-time or recurring on days, evenings, and weekends. There are currently two vans in Sammamish. 1 can hold up to 7 passengers and the other can hold up to 11 passengers. The vans are both parked at the South Sammamish Park and Ride.
Community Van cannot exist without our fantastic volunteer drivers who we call neighborhood heroes. To be a volunteer driver, you must have a license, you must be at least 21, and you must apply online by filling out an application (see below). Volunteer drivers get to ride for free and never have to pay for gas or bridge tolls.
