Join the City to help remove invasive species, planting native vegetation and perform maintenance at Windham Square Stormwater Pond. Give back to your community, learn about native plants and enhance wildlife habitat!
This project is perfect for students looking to complete community service hours for school. Family members and individual volunteers welcome. Water, snacks, gloves and tools will be provided. Please dress appropriately for weather, wear long sleeves/pants and closed-toed shoes.
Masks are optional to wear when on site and when working. Social distancing is encouraged.
Directions: There is parking along NE 8th St between 233rd ave and 237th ave
The Pond under restoration is across the street from Illahee Lake Trail
Must register online. No walk ups.
How to respond to volunteer opportunity:
Youth between 15 - 18 years old must create account and fill out wavier online with parent or guardian completing wavier by signing their portion through email.
Minors under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Parent or Guardian must response as a team and add the amount of spots they are reserving for their team/family. Parent or Guardian are required to fill out wavier online for themselves and minors wavier forms must be brought to work site on the day of event completely filled out.
