Join the city to work on a habitat restoration project started by the Master Stewards from the Washington Native Plant Society. Come help establish native habitat by removing invasive plant species at Evans Creek Preserve. Give back to your community, learn about native plants and enhance wildlife habitat!
Water, snacks, gloves and tools will be provided. Please dress appropriately for weather, and wear closed-toed shoes.
Meeting Place
Volunteers should meet near trail marker 2 (see map). Please also note that Evan's Creek Preserve has an upper (off Sahalee Way) and Lower (off HWY 202) entrance. Please make sure you navigate to the Lower entrance (off HWY 202).
Parking
Please note, parking is extremely limited. Please plan to meet at a nearby public parking lot and carpool to the site or arrange for drop off/pick up.
If the parking lot is full, you may park anywhere in the neighborhood, WHERE IT IS PERMITTED & SAFE TO DO SO. Please do not block mailboxes, fire hydrants, driveways or roads. Please note any "no parking signs" and do not park within 50 feet of the intersection of Hwy 202 and 224th Ave.
