Description

Join the Sammamish Storm Water Stewards at the Whindham pond.  This has been an ongoing project to establish native plantings and remove noxious weeds. Volunteers will be helping with watering newly planted areas and light weeding.  Join to help establish this newly planted pond this summer in removing noxious weeds and watering the newly planted areas around the pond, and pollinator bed. Give back to your community, learn about native plants wetlands and enhance wildlife habitat!

This project is perfect for anyone who is looking for a way to volunteer outside with light physical work.  Please dress appropriately for weather, and bring a water bottle.

There is parking 235th ave NE and NE 8th st Sammamish (space in between NE and 8th) map

Must register and sign agreement online.  

Youth between 15 - 18 years old must create account and fill out wavier online with parent or guardian completing wavier by signing their portion through email.

Minors under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Parent or Guardian must respond as a team and add the amount of spots they are reserving for their team/family.  Parent or Guardian are required to fill out wavier online for themselves and minors wavier forms must be brought to work site on the day of event completely filled out.  Downloadable volunteer forms are located at https://sammamish.us/community-involvement/volunteer/
