Join the Sammamish Storm Water Stewards at the Shannonwood pond. This has been an ongoing project to establish native plantings and remove noxious weeds. Volunteers will be helping with noxious weed removal. Give back to your community, learn about native plants in wetlands and how it enhances wildlife habitat!
This project is perfect for anyone who is looking for a way to volunteer outside. Please dress appropriately for weather, bring a full water bottle & a light snack. Close toed shoes, long sleeves and pants are required.
Location/Directions: The Shannonwood Stormwater pond is located in the 210th Ct NE Cul-de-sac, between 210th Ct NE & 209th Pl NE/NE 18th Pl.
Parking: Volunteers may park along 209th PL NE, but should avoid blocking the street, mailboxes, or driveways.
Must register and sign agreement online.
Youth between 15 - 18 years old must create account and fill out wavier online with parent or guardian completing wavier by signing their portion through email.
Minors under the age of 14 years must be accompanied by an adult. Parent or Guardian must respond as a team and add the amount of spots they are reserving for their team/family. Parent or Guardian are required to fill out wavier online for themselves and minors wavier forms must be brought to work site on the day of event completely filled out.
